![]() ![]() ![]() The Anbernic RG280m I can't really say anything good/bad about, as I haven't tried it. It would also allow for PS1 emulation, but performance and compatibility is very hit and miss, especially on the weaker "Old" 2DS. It may seem daunting, but it has become surprisingly easy, and most of the install process is reading the steps and copying files. You can get away with using a flashcart for basic emulation, but it would be strongly recommended to just put custom firmware on it. The 3DS has a lot more freedom for custom software, more power (along with more buttons and even more power, if you get the New 2DS), and, of course, access to the full 3DS library. Honestly, if the DSi and 2DS you're looking at are at the same price range, I wouldn't bother with the DSi. I would have to install twilight onto the DSi, I've not really looked at what needs to be done to the 2ds or if I can get away with an r4 card or equivalent, I would also probably load a different image from the standard anbernic system. I will sometime get a larger anbernic device that can hook up to a TV as well but that's for another day. I'm just wondering it it's too small, but then that small size is nice in itself. ![]() It has also made me realise I just want one separate device.Īt the moment the Anbernic is looking very appealing, it has the added bonus of playing ps1 games which wasn't on my on my list of things I wanted but is a nice extra. I have used my phone up until now, Poco X3 Pro, with an 8bit do grip and Xbox one controller, I also used my razer kishi for a little while also, these all work great. I just want to mainly play mainly older games in short bursts on the go.Īnbernic RG280m, currently on offer fo £55 on Amazon uk. Hello, I'm after handheld emulation device advice.
